About
George Howell grew up in a trilingual household, speaking English, Greek and German from a very early age. He is of half Greek, half British descent. His mother, Vasiliki, is from Kavala, and his father, Peter, from the UK. George’s childhood was divided between Kavala, Greece and Falmouth, Cornwall, UK.
In 2006, George graduated from the University of Bristol with a BA (hons) in Modern Foreign Languages. He immediately began teaching Greek, German and Spanish to learners in the UK. In 2007, he decided to combine his passion for the Greek language with his love for Kavala and started Grecophone, in order to share this beautiful city with visitors whilst teaching them Greek.
